Dads Take Your Child to School Day!
We would like to invite all our Macfarlane Park families to join us for DADS TAKE YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL DAY!
On Thursday, September 25, 2025, we encourage all fathers to take their children to school so we can celebrate you!
All father figures are welcome including: stepfathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, foster fathers and other significant male role models. As part of this event, guests will be welcomed through the gate next to the
covered courts as early as 7:45am and are encouraged to proceed to photo booth opportunities at the entrance to each hallway on the turf. Dads and father figure are then welcome to join their student(s) for breakfast in the cafeteria (donuts and coffee available in addition to regular breakfast for students). After taking your photo, and visiting the cafeteria if you’d like, please proceed to your child’s class to drop them off at their classroom door. We are also encouraging dad’s and father figures to leave their student(s) with a special prewritten note for them to open in class.
This initiative’s intent is to highlight the significant difference fathers and father figures make by taking an active role in their children’s educational experience. When fathers play an active role in a child’s education, children perform better academically, have fewer discipline problems and become more responsible adults. We hope all fathers will take this opportunity to engage with our school and staff, and that you will continue to
be active members of our Macfarlane Park community!
What about moms? Although the event is centered on fathers, mothers and other family members are also invited to participate. Moms are vital in the lives of their children and in their children’s education. DADS TAKE YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL DAY is an opportunity for us to shine the spotlight on dads and father figures.
